Update plotting() doc string to refer to getp/setp.

Update plotting() doc string to refer to getp/setp.

Fixed a problem with square roots in the pdf backend with usetex.

Fixed minor __str__ bugs so getp(gca()) works.

Removed a reference to nx, replaced with numpy.
