move pyparsing back into mpl namespace

fixed bug in dateutil version check

added checks that also print version numbers for
pyparsing, pytz, dateutil, configobj

update enthought package to version 2.6b1, stripped of setuptools
installed in site-packages, if not already present

move configobj.py to lib/, install in site-packages only if required

added a show method for gtk fig manager

Delete gd and paint backends.

fixed qt version reporting in setupext.py

There's no need to link ttconv with CXX (it hasn't used it for
sometime, but I forgot to remove it from the build.)
