On GitHub, the Docker project for LogicalDOC CE v8.7.3 has been updated https://github.com/logicaldoc/logicaldoc-ce The documentation of the new project has been expanded compared to the previous one, and it allows you to utilize the software package in a lot of different ways: external MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and Oracle databases or with an embedded database (HSQLDB). Furthermore, the mechanisms for data persistence (configuration and documents) and for access to these have also been highlighted when the containers are not running. Another point of interest is that the examples for Docker Compose and Docker Stack have been updated such as compatibility with new versions of MySQL 8. On the Docker-Hub, https://hub.docker.com/r/logicaldoc/logicaldoc-ce, there is a ready-to-use Docker container accessible. Please visit our website https://www.logicaldoc.com/download-logicaldoc-community/ for more information on the open source Document Management System (LogicalDOC CE). LogicalDOC is a Web-based Document Management System (DMS), easy to use and learn. The purpose of the release 4.5.1 was to improve the multilingual support provided by LogicalDOC. In particular, after the development of plugins for Greek and Chinese languages support, it was realized that was necessary to treat properly also all the files with ideographic characters. Furthermore, it was necessary to make some changes to improve content indexing of foreign documents and to display correctly the snippets with search results. Due to these changes, the search by tag has been improved, allowing to manually enter the first character of the words that we want to display, useful for non-Latin alphabets. A big thanks to Marinos Vlasakis for Greek translation and Tong Hongxian (Shanghai Electric) for translation in Chinese simplified. See the ChangeLog for details. https://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=239244&release_id=698389 <https://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?group_id=239244&release_id=698389> You could download this version at the following address: https://sourceforge.net/projects/logicaldoc/files/distribution/logicaldoc-4.5.1-tomcat-bundle.zip/download If you need support for LogicalDOC you can consider the Enterprise Edition available at http://www.logicaldoc.com -- --------------------------------------------------------------- Alessandro Gasparini e-mail: a.g...@lo... <mailto:a.g...@lo...> --------------------------------------------------------------- Logical Objects snc Via Bonasi, 2/A 41012 Carpi (MO) Italy Tel./Fax. 059 688969 web: http://www.logicalobjects.it |

Hi Ardeshir Another thing, in the user manual there is a specific section on WebDAV that explains how to configure easily webdav client for windows (XP/Vista). http://downloads.sourceforge.net/logicaldoc/logicaldoc-4.0-usermanual.pdf?use_mirror= Anyway, I on my work machine (Windows) I tested the WebDAV interface with the Microsoft client webfolders and with NetDrive (a free webdav client more useful than webfolder). http://www.netdrive.net/ The browser is not the best way to consult the webdav because unless it is a webdav enabled browser it can fails to make you see the repository. To be safe about the webdav working you can also try webdav DAVExplorer-0.91, this is a crude application written in Java that can be used to verify the installation. Perhaps if you see a blank page the LogicalDOC archive is empty. Try first creating some documents with the traditional Web-interface the you should see the created document on the WebDAV client. I'm very sorry Ardeshir, but just now we have found a last minute bug in our WebDAV implementation. This bug prevents the view of folders created in the GUI..... :-! I'm uploading a fresh LD 4.0 version with the fixed bug. it will be online in the next 10 minutes Then i suggest you to download and install this new version. Hi Ardeshir, to take advantage of the new amazing webdav interface, after you have installed LogicalDOC 4.0 you must have a webdav client to mount logicaldoc. in the logicaldoc user manual there is a Chapter dedicated to the WebDAV client setup: 5) LOGICALDOC AS A WEB FOLDER you can download the User's manual in the documentation package: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/logicaldoc/logicaldoc-4.0-usermanual.pdf For the client to use i personally suggest WindowsXP/Vista: NetDrive (Free for Home Use) http://www.netdrive.net/purchase.html Linux/Mac OS X: see the User's manual and tell us your opinion about the listed clients the Connection url for WebDAV in logicaldoc is: http://localhost:8080/logicaldoc/webdav/store or http://localhost:8080/webdav/store if you install with the tomcat boundle provided (without application context) user/password (are the same of the user created in logicaldoc), by default the admin user is: admin/admin You could also check the WebDAV page in our wiki: http://www.logicaldoc.info/wiki/index.php?title=WebDAV Best regards A. This is the LogicalDOC CE 4.0 RC2 release. LogicalDOC is a Web-based Document Management System (DMS), easy to use and learn. LogicalDOC supports its users with a powerful search engine (Lucene), Web service interface (JAX-WS via CXF), and versioning. Documents can be organized into hierarchical folders, and searched using the search engine or by document similarity. The archive can also be navigated through Tag-Cloud or document-links. LogicalDOC CE 4.0 was tested with a million real documents. Support for WebDAV and the creation of custom attributes on documents via a document's template were also introduced. Among other things, the deferred indexing of documents and the scheduled task for calculation of Tag-Cloud have been implemented. Compared to the previous RC1, several important bugs were fixed. Also a major new feature was developed. This feature allows you to manage the visibility/editing of the fields in a document by group. For details of changes see the ChangeLog. Please give this RC2 a test drive! This is the first release candidate for LogicalDOC CE 4.0 . LogicalDOC is an Enterprise class Web-based Document Management System (DMS), easy to use and learn. This 4.0 RC1 release is a heavily refactored version of LogicalDOC Community Edition. The database has been completely rewritten, security management has been rewritten from scratch and the system was tested with 1M (1,000,000) of real documents. It was also introduced support for WebDAV (Many Thanks to Sebastian Wenzky) and the creation of custom attributes on documents via document's template. The WebDAV is accessibile at the following address: http://localhost:8080/logicaldoc/webdav/store/ user/pass: admin/admin . Among other things the deferred indexing of documents has been implemented along with the scheduled task for calculation of Tag-Cloud. LogicalDOC uses the following core technologies: * J2EE 2.4 web tier * JSF 1.2 * JAX-WS 2.0 * Lucene 2.4 * Hibernate 3.2.6ga * Spring 2.5.4 * CXF * IceFaces 1.7.2 * JPF .
