If it is a once-off operation, there are a number of tools to convert between formats. Several tools expect resource files with icons and bitmaps in hex format and converts them to *.ico or *.bmp files. If you need to do it regularly, you might google for libbmp. /Per W On Wed, 29 Mar 2006 ric...@ir... wrote: > Hi, ineed to create a bmp file starting from a map of pixel... > > I have a "map" of pixel with the hex color of every pixel... > > How can i transfrom it into a bmp file? > > Thanks, Riccardo > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language > that extends applications into web and mobile media. i am programming in dev cpp and have a program that generates two a surface and then rotate one of the surfaces done in one class. After rotation i do surface fitting and then call the z coordinates of the two surfaces in another function. My problem is when calling the coordinates i get 2 sets of coordinates but from the same surface instead of two sets from different surfaces. how do i rite it so that it returns both sets o coordinates. _Eddy_ --------------------------------- Yahoo! Dear Riccardo, i guess Your cgi script does not have right to read file, assuming Your Webserver is Linux based. Eventually try this with the PHP script after uploading file: system ("chmod 0777 ".$filename); pls note the space between the last 7 and the final " !! also ensure to have reading rights at the Dir you placed the file. (Maybe do chmod with the dir also!) if You do not want the uploaded file to be executable rather use "chmod 0666 ".$filename hope this helps. brgds/ guido |

Since the second parameter is an integer and you want good precision, just typecast the first parameter to double. However, the reason that there are no pow(int,int) is that you normally don't use pow when playing with integers. just do: n = num; count = 0; while (n >= 10) { n /= 10; count++; } to find out # of times you can divide by 10. Normally when extracting digits, it is performed in reverse, i.e. something like (I might have a +/- 1 error somewhere since I'm just writing without testing): char digits[30]; char* p = digits+30; int negative = n < 0; if (n < 0) n = -n; *(--p) = '\0'; *(--p) = '0' + (n % 10); n /= 10; while (n) { *(--p) = '0' + (n % 10); n /= 10; } if (negative) *(--p) = '-'; std::cout << digits << std::endl; /Per W On Thu, 23 Mar 2006, Sheets, James D. wrote: > This is the program I am trying to compile: > // Programming Exercise 2 > #include <iostream> > #include <cmath> > using namespace std; > int main() > { > int num; > int digit; > int sum = 0; > int pwr = 0; > cout << "Enter an integer: " << flush; > cin >> num; > cout << endl; > cout << "The digits of " << num << " are: "; > if (num < 0) > num = -num; > //Find the highest power of 10 that divides the number > while (num / static_cast<int>(pow(10, pwr)) > 10) > pwr++; > > while (num > 0) > { > digit = num / static_cast<int>(pow(10, pwr)); > cout << digit << " "; > sum = sum + digit; > num = num % static_cast<int>(pow(10, pwr)); > pwr--; > } > if (pwr != -1) //Either num is 0 or there are trailing zeros in num > while (pwr != -1) > { > cout << 0 << " "; > pwr--; > } > cout << endl; > cout << "The sum of the digits = " << sum << endl; > return 0; > } > > I have the following statement giving me an error when compiled; > while (num / static_cast<int>(pow(10, pwr)) > 10) > > The debug has the following: > Line File Name Message > 26 C:\Files\Ch5Ex2. cpp call of overloaded `pow(int, int&)' is ambiguous > note C:\Dev-Cpp\include\math.h:150 candidates are: double pow(double, double) > note C:\Dev-Cpp\include\math.h:150 long double std::pow(long double, int) > note C:\Dev-Cpp\include\math.h:150 float std::pow(float, int) > note C:\Dev-Cpp\include\math.h:150 double std::pow(double, int) > note C:\Dev-Cpp\include\math.h:150 long double std::pow |

If you are lazy, and the data is in correct byte order, then you can do: char readbuf[100]; unsigned int n; n = *(unsigned int*)&readbuf[pos]; However, to make sure that the program works independent on processor architecture, you should do something like: n = ((unsigned)buf[pos]) + (((unsigned)buf[pos+1]) << 8) + (((unsigned)buf[pos+2]) << 16) + (((unsigned)buf[pos+3]) << 24); pos += 4; Adjust order of bytes depending on how the file was saved. /Per W On Thu, 23 Mar 2006, Riccardo Roasio wrote: > Hi, > i have a file with a part of ASCII code and a second part with binary > data that should represent unsigned int. > I found how to read the file and write on another file the same binary > data, but i don't know how to convert these data into unsigned int. > Can anyone help me? > Thanks,Riccardo > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language > that extends applications into web and mobile media. I use the SetWindowLong() function to change the WinProc of an hwnd. But for windows 2000 and higher you can't do it to a window that doesn't belong to the same process as the calling thread. Is there another way to change the attribute so that I can change the WndProc of lets say... the internet window? _________________________________________________________________ MSN® Calendar keeps you organized and takes the effort out of scheduling get-togethers. http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-ca&page=byoa/prem&xAPID=1994&DI=1034&SU=http://hotmail.com/enca&HL=Market_MSNIS_Taglines Start enjoying all the benefits of MSN® Premium right now and get the first two months FREE*. |

If so and it's still not working, try using the absolute path in the include statement. Hello, I'm starting C++ and I've chosen Dev-C++ in order to learn it. I'd like to use xpath, dom and xslt. In that aim, I've downloaded libxml from the update manager. Each sample code finded anywhere results with the following line : libxml++/libxml++.h: No such file or directory. I imagine there's a line to add in compilateur options Like -lmysql for Mysql library. What should I do ? Thanks a lot. |

Note - bit-wise and is _not_ the same as logical and. To make it a logical expression (needed if isFlagSett is of type bool, or if the expression is used to count up a variable with 1 if flag is set), the following is needed: isFlagSet = (4 & flags) != 0; /Per W |

A tip. double the value for each flag, 1 2 4 8 etc ex: 1 + 4 =3D 00000101 to check weither the flag has been set just use "and" ex: check for=20 4: isFlagSet =3D 4 & flags; it will become 1 if the flag is set and 0 otherwise /Daniel Pettersson Noorez Kassam wrote: > I have a question about flags. I have a question about flags. Here's an example of my problem: FLAG A = 1; FLAG B = 2; Lets say both flags are needed, so they are | together like so... A|B. How can I then find what flags are set later on from the single value? _________________________________________________________________ Take advantage of powerful junk e-mail filters built on patented Microsoft® SmartScreen Technology. http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-ca&page=byoa/prem&xAPID=1994&DI=1034&SU=http://hotmail.com/enca&HL=Market_MSNIS_Taglines Start enjoying all the benefits of MSN® Premium right now and get the first two months FREE*. |

I'm not sure what include to use to set up the dialog type. Windows.h = doesn't do it. Thanks! |
