Does anyone know where I can get a good tutorial online on how to create and use a .dll file. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo! http://sbc.yahoo.com |

Hi, you need to typecast the pointer. the last parameter is of type lParam so you need to modify you code as follows (LPARAM)this. >you wrote... >The errors occurs here : > >hHyperLinkWnd= CreateWindowEx(dwExStyle, > wcex.lpszClassName, > "", > dwStyle, > HypLinkData.cx,HypLinkData.cy, > size.cx,size.cy, > hWndParent, > NULL, > wcex.hInstance, --> (LPARAM)this); <- Here at the "this" pointer passing, compiling crashes |

First, Your mail is messed with the text you're answering and your answer, and it's really hard to read it. You shall define a LOGFONT before the use of the definition of the CHOOSEFONT and initialize the lpLogFont field of CHOOSEFONT with it. And then you select this on a HFONT, with CreateFontIndirect(LPLOGFONT). Anyway, if it's there and I didn't see it, check the CHOOSEFONT specification at your Win32 API reference, perhaps there is some field you should initialize due to the use of some option and you're not initializing it. I did a simple experiment with it and I had the same error (win2k), till I realized that I hadn't initialize the Flags field of CHOOSEFONT, and then it disappeared. |

hi guys, I have a class, with a member function which is actually a template. if i try to instantiate it , gives an error saying.. 'illegal use of this type as an expression' it seems to be a windows specific thing, as the same code got compiled well, on Linux. ..Santosh |
