code cleanup:
* rename CRegStdWORD to CRegStdDWORD
* replace the stdstring defing with a typedef for tstring
* get rid of the wide_string typedef, use std::wstring instead

Fixed issue #130: Change request: don't animate on connect errors

Add option to disable notifications on connection errors.
