To do this delete the \b\f2 User.config\b0\f1 file in the \b\f2 %AppData%\\DelphiDabbler\\CodeSnip.4\b0\f0 directory. DO THIS NOW.\par \fs16\par \b\fs20 User Defined Snippets Database\par \b0\fs8\par \fs20 If you have previously been using v2 or v3 of CodeSnip to maintain your own database of user defined snippets and have been experimenting with creating and editing snippets using the preview release, you may have snippets in two different databases that you would like to keep.\par \fs8\par \fs20 If you have created or brought forward a user database using the preview release, your new version of CodeSnip will use that database. If you also want to use your older database created by v2 or v3, here's how:\par \fs8\par \pard{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}{\*\pn\pnlvlblt\pnf3\pnindent0{\pntxtb\'B7}}\fi-284\li568\fs20 Cancel this installation.\f1\par \f0{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}Start the older version of CodeSnip you used to create the database and back it up using the program's \i Database | Backup User Database\i0 menu option. This works with any CodeSnip v2.x or v3.x release.\f1\par \f0{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}If you have any snippets you have developed using the preview that you want to keep, start your preview release of CodeSnip and export those snippets. How this is done depends on which preview version you have been using. Look on the \i Snippets\i0 menu if present or on the \i Database\i0 menu otherwise.\f1\par \f0{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}If you have decided to uninstall the preview, do it now.\f1\par \f0{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}Run this installation again and skip this page if it is displayed.\f1\par \f0{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}Start your newly installed version of CodeSnip 4.\par {\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}If you see a "first run" dialogue box follow its instructions. If it suggests bringing forward a user database, do not allow this. Wait for CodeSnip's main window to be displayed.\f1\par \f0{\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}Use the \i Database | Restore User Database\i0 menu option to restore the v2 or v3 database you exported earlier.\f1\par {\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}Import any snippets you exported from the CodeSnip preview by using the \i Snippets | Import Snippets\i0 menu option to display the \i Import Wizard\i0 .\par {\pntext\f3\'B7\tab}Save the user database using the \i Database | Save User Database\i0 menu option.\par \pard\f0\fs8\par \f1\fs20 You will now have a new database containing all your old snippets along with any new ones you elected to keep from the preview release.\par \fs8\par \fs20 If you have not brought forward or created a user defined snippets database while using the preview release you need do nothing at present. The first time you run your new version of CodeSnip it will help you import any database created by an earler version of the program.\par }
