#162 clonezilla stalls at which language do I prefer
just downloaded clonezilla-live-2.8.0-27-amd64. Currently using clonezilla-live-2.7.3-19-amd64 successfully. when booting to the USB clonezilla stalls at which language do I prefer. when selecting 'English' and then enter... application not recognizing that I hit the enter key and stalls
Is this issue reproducible on testing Clonezilla live, e.g., >= 2.8.1-10 or 20211221-jammy?

20211221-jammy and 2.8.1-10 > stalls before even getting to the language preference menu. I used 2.7.3-19-amd64 on same laptop successfully.
No idea. I just can not reproduce this issue here. Therefore I have no idea how to fix this. Maybe you can try to choose the different boot menu? Like the KMS one here:

In addition, as a workaround, you can try to edit the boot parameter, and preset language and keymap, e.g., for US keymap and American English, use:
keyboard-layouts=en locales=en_US.UTF-8
