I try to let it dry naturally and not use a heat tool to speed it up because I feel like the best blooms are created in the watercolor that way. I do hit it with a blow dryer at the end just to make sure allll the salt particles are super dry before I remove the salt so I’m not smearing any hidden areas of wet paint. It’s worth it in the end though! I love the spontaneous way it blooms and the challenge of working with the marks it makes to create something beautiful that wasn’t planned."
