An Edwardian diamond and pearl necklace, of a natural round half pearl, measuring approximately 8.3 mm of diameter, to the centre of an old brilliant-cut diamond-set cluster all to an old brilliant-cut diamond-set scroll and bow openwork designed frame with natural pear shaped pearl drop, measuring approximately 7.7 x 6.7 mm, Gem&Pearl laboratory certificate, the diamonds estimated a total of 5 1/2 carats, on chain, circa 1910, gross weight 22.54 grams. An alluring early twentieth century piece. This gorgeous necklace features a delicate and detailed openwork design set throughout with glittering diamonds. Edwardian jewellery is characterised by the delicate use of platinum, diamonds and pearls, and garland and bow motifs.
