Chocolate almond coffee cake

Jill Dupleix's 'Incredibly Wonderful Chocolate Cake' recipe is an adaptation of a superb Elizabeth David recipe. It is rich, dense and slightly fudgy, but not in a cloying way like mud cake. It's a winner!
