5 Havsta cabinets and 4 Billy bookcases- $1500
Plywood shelf, lattice trim, primed 1x5- $100
Caulk and wood filler- $15
Primer, paint, sealer- $150
🤍 Total cost- $1765 

(This is assuming you already have power tools and the basics like brushes and rollers for painting.)

It is time consuming, exhausting and requires a lot of planning and figuring things out.   If you’re good at DIY then you will just need time but I would not attempt this if you’re not used to sawing and drilling.   I know that a lot of IKEA hacks seem really simple and it looks like an easy job to make IKEA furniture look built-in.
