Español: (Nueva Esparta Escudo): Según Decreto de fecha 20 de octubre de 1875, el General Juan Alberto Ramírez, gobernador Constitucional del la Provincia de Nueva Esparta, ordena adoptar como Escudo de esta Entidad Política, el creado por el ciudadano D. Juan Manuel Velásquez Level y el cual aparece en el Libro Álbum de Escudos de los Estados publicado en 1876.
  • Según el léxico heráldico se denomina campo la superficie total e interior de un escudo y cuartel cada una de las partes en que se encuentra éste dividido. El Escudo del Estado Nueva Esparta está dividido en dos cuarteles: rojo y azul.
  • Emblemas son las representaciones simbólicas colocadas en los cuarteles del escudo. El Escudo de Nueva Esparta ostenta los atributos emblemáticos siguientes: en el primer cuartel aparece una flechera de oro sobre ondas de plata, y en el segundo un collar de perlas.
  • Ornamentos son ciertas piezas que se ponen para acompañar la obra principal. El de Nueva Esparta tiene ramos de coral y de algas. Un anda, un tritón, un remo y tridente enlazados.
  • Timbre es la insignia que se coloca encima del Escudo de Armas para distinguir los grados de nobleza. El de Nueva Esparta tiene como timbre, el gorro frigio entre rayos de oro, y una corona de laurel como símbolo de sus gloriosos triunfos en la Magna Guerra de la Emancipación.
English: According to date Ordinance October of 1875, 20 the General Juan Alberto Ramírez, Constitutional governor of the the County of New Esparta, orders to adopt like Shield of this Political Entity, the one created by the civic D. Juan Manuel Velásquez Level and which appears in the Book Album of Shields of the States published in 1876.
  • According to the heraldic lexicon it is denominated field the total surface and interior of a shield and barracks each one of the parts in that he/she is this divided. The Shield of the New State Esparta is divided in two barracks: red and blue.
  • Emblems are the symbolic representations placed in the barracks of the shield. The Shield of New Esparta shows the attributes following emblematic: in the first barracks a flechera of gold appears on silver waves, and in the second a necklace of pearls.
  • Ornaments are certain pieces that put on to accompany the main work. That of New Esparta has coral fields and of algae. A walks, a newt, an oar and connected trident.
  • Stamp it is the badge that is placed above the Coat of arms to distinguish the grades of nobility. That of New Esparta has like bell, the cap frigio among rays of gold, and a laurel crown like symbol of their glorious victories in the Great Guerra of the good Emancipación.
