Steve Carter (playwright)

Horace Edward "Steve" Carter Jr. (November 7, 1929 – September 15, 2020) was an American playwright. Carter was best known for his plays involving Caribbean immigrants living in the United States. He was born in New York City. He was known for writing the 1978 play Nevis Mountain Dew. He was a playwright-in-residence at Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago.

Carter died on September 15, 2020 in Tomball, Texas at the age of 90.[1][2]
