Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a 2019 American dark fantasy movie by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the sequel of Maleficent.

Story

Aurora and Prince Phillip want to get married. Maleficent and Aurora attend a dinner with Phillip's parents, King John and Queen Ingrith. Ingrith dislikes Maleficent, causing Maleficent to become angry. John falls into an eternal sleep. Everybody believes that Maleficent cursed him, including Aurora. Maleficent flies away but is shot with an iron bullet and she falls into the ocean.

Maleficent is rescued by a winged creature and taken to a cave full of dark fairies just like her. She finds out that there are only a small amount of dark fairies still alive because they were hunted by humans. Meanwhile, Aurora discovers that Ingrith hates magical creatures. Magical creatures from the Moors (where Aurora and Maleficent lived) are invited to the wedding. However, Queen Ingrith has them locked inside a room where red dust is used to kill them. A fairy named Flittle sacrifices herself to save the others.

The Dark Fae attack Ingrith's castle. Queen Ingrith shoots and kills Maleficent. As Aurora cries, Maleficent is reborn much like a phoenix. Scared, Ingrith throws Aurora off a tower and runs away. Maleficent saves Aurora while Ingrith's escape is stopped by several Dark Fae. Aurora and Phillip get married and Maleficent leaves with the other Dark Fae.
