Independence Day of India has been celebrated every year on 15 August since 1947. On that date, British Raj became two independent countries, the Dominion of India and the Dominion of Pakistan.

Mahatma Gandhi is one of those who served the country as a father and so he is called the father of the nation.

Apart from Gandhi, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Dr Rajendra Prsad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, and many others had to face the exploitation of Britishers. After a lot of struggles and difficulties, we got freedom from British rule.
