Kompleks prepoznavanja mesta početka, podjedinica 6 je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran ORC6 (ORC6L) genom.[1][2]
Protein kodiran ovim genom je podjedinica ORC kompleksa. Pokazano je da su ORC6 i ORC1 labavo povezani sa sržnim kompleskom koji sarži ORC2, -3, -4 i -5. Studije genskog blokiranja dejstvom male interferirajuće RNK su pokazale da ovaj protein ima esencijalnu ulogu u koordinaciji hromozomske replikacije segregacije.[2]
ORC6 formira interakcije sa MCM5,[3] ORC2,[3][4] replikacioni protein A1,[3] ORC4,[3] DBF4,[3] ORC3,[3][4] CDC45-srodni protein,[3] MCM4[3] i proteinska kinaza srodna ciklusu 7 ćelijske deobe.[3]
