Martin Amis
Martin Amis (25.8. 1949.-) je engleski romanopisac, esejist i pisac novela. Među djela mu spadaju romani kao London Fields (1989) i The Information (1995).

Rođen je kao sin uglednog književnika Kingsleya Amisa i Hillary Bardwell. Kada su mu se roditelji rastali, zajedno s majkom se preselio kod njenog trećeg muža, lorda od Kilmarnocka.
Obrazovao se na Oxfordu, a prvi posao je stekao kao urednik književne rubrike u New Statesmanu, gdje se sreo s Christopherom Hitchensom koji će postati njegov veliki prijatelj. Njegov prvi roman Rachel Papers je 1973. godine dobio nagradu Somerset Maugham.
Amis je zbog svojih stavova u kojima islamizam smatra opasnošću po zapadni svijet žestoko kritiziran od strane liberalnog i lijevo nastrojenog dijela britanske javnosti, koja mu je prišila etiketu Blitcona.
