Fabulous 1970s Indian cotton maxi dress! This is a true forever piece, it's so beautiful & easy, comfortable to wear. This fabric feels like HEAVEN on, it is very lightweight, tissue thin and sheer. Unlined. Handkerchief style flare sleeves, it has all 7 of its original fabric covered buttons down the front. It is bias cut, flares out into a very full and flowy skirt. Block printed textile, flowers & paisleys in purples and blue. Has gold painted flowers throughout. The label was unfortunately cut out but I am positive this is by designer "Adini Sultana". Has all the hallmarks of their dresses, even the tag placement / thread color remnants line up with the ones I have researched. In beautiful condition with no major structural issues, there is one stressed seam on the backside that could be reinforced. One barely pinhole in skirt. Neither affects wear. This fabric is very delicate so to find it without any big holes rips tears etc is a rarity. A few spots at and above the hem of the skirt, due to the volume and print they are not noticeable at all. You really would have to search for these. Has been hand washed and steamed, ready to wear. SIZE : no tag size. Best fit would be about a small - medium, as this is meant to fit loosely. Shown on size Xs mannequin 32 bust, unpinned Pulls on over head so must be able to go over shoulders and bust Bust - underarm to underarm measures a bit past 40 but allow room, I would say best for up to 36 inches, 38 max Waist - free, up to 60 Hips - free, up to 70+ Length - 57 Shoulder to shoulder - approx 14.5 I aim to provide accurate descriptions and measurements.
