The outer part of the ring is protected with jewelry varnish to make the color effect last longer. However, it will wear off in the high areas and the inner part of the ring over time (making silver more shiny and „silver"). It is a natural process that the patinated jewelry will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. Remove the ring when washing hands, showering, or swimming to keep the color effect longer.
