Moonwalk, by Andy Warhol, 1987. Screenprint in colour on Lenox Museum Board; 38 x 38"
9 cans of Campbell's Soup Cans, the original work done by Andy Warhol. Some characteristics of pop art include its very recognizable imagery to the public, and the vibrant, bright contrasting colours helping bring out the pop aesthetic of the overall art work. The reasons to why he picked the soup for his work is still unknown, though it was told that he was suggested by an interior decorator to paint something that "everybody would recognize and see everyday"
