Students learned so much about Picasso through this project - and really stretched their creativity! Picasso changed styles throughout his life more than any other artist. He was pretty much responsible for the Modern Art movement through his creative abstract reimaginings of people. I introduced Pablo Picasso by reading the book Picasso which is part of the series of books for children called Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists. We learned that Picasso tried many different styles of art. For our project, we started with a Picasso-like face made out of construction paper - one where you can see the profile at the same time as the front.
