I used to swim 3 times per week and I would shampoo my locs after every swim. There is a huge misconception about shampooing locs. Most of the people perpetuating these lies don't have locs themselves. Breaking off traditions is not easy. I have been a forerunner in the loc industry when it comes to Breaking traditions. Shampooing is one of them. Let me tell you from my 11 years of loc journey: IT IS OK TO SHAMPOO YOUR LOCS AS OFTEN AS YOU WANT TO. Caps are for emphasis. It is ok. It is very ok. It is hygienic.
