1. **Soak Moong Dal**: Soak 1 cup of yellow moong dal in water for 2-3 hours.
2. **Blend into Batter**: Drain the soaked dal and blend it with a little water to form a smooth batter and add 1 tsp salt in it.
3. **Add Spices**: add green chilli and ginger.
4. **Add Veggies**: Optionally, add finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander, and grated carrots to the batter.
5. **Heat the Pan**: Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil.
6. **Spread Batter**: Pour a ladle of batter and spread it evenly like a pancake.
7. **Cook**: Cook on medium flame until golden brown on both sides.

Have you heard of it before? Well, I have recently had it at one of my pahadi friends, and I absolutely, absolutely loved it. It’s basically grounded Udal recipe that’s made differently and tastes so yumm… let’s see how to make it. 

Ingredients 
1 cup urad dal
2 tsp wheat flour
2 tsp mustard oil
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp black mustard seeds
2 dry red chillies
3-4 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
2 green chillies
Handful of fresh coriander leaves 
1/2 tsp asafoetida 
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2-2.5 cups water
Salt to taste
1 tsp lemon juice 

Method
1. Wash urad dal and leave it to dry for 5-10 mins
2. In a mortar pestle, pound green chillies, garlic, ginger, coriander seeds and coriander leaves
