T-54/55 was the successor to the T-34 and was the primary Soviet tank of the Cold War era. Classified as a "medium tank," it is the most produced tank in the World. It saw service in many conflicts, including Vietnam, the Indo -Pakistani wars, the Arab - Israeli wars, the Iran- Iraq war and several conflicts in Africa. It is still in service with armies throughout the world. Known for being rugged and easy to operate, it's primary drawback is a lack of space for the crew.
