Colonial or Early American Living Rooms

Colonial or Early American styles of traditional formal living rooms. Formal living rooms are becoming extinct, yet were an important part of achieving the "American Dream" for many hardworking families. The colonial or early american styles link us to the roots of America. I'm not sure what the difference is between Colonial and Early American though.
