Luhansk Oblast (Ukrainian: Луганська область, translit. Luhans’ka oblast’, Roushie: Луганская область, translit. Luganskaya oblast; an aa referred tae as LuhanshchynaUkrainian: Луганщина or locally as Luhan' (Лугань)) is the eastmaist oblast (province) o Ukraine. Its admeenistrative centre is Luhansk. The oblast wis established on 3 Juin 1938 an bore the name Voroshilovgrad Oblast (till 1958 an again frae 1970 tae 1990) in honour o Kliment Voroshilov.
