Ibrahim Alhidary is a Professor of Animal Nutrition at the Department of Animal Production, College of Food and Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. He graduated with a Ph.D. from the University of Queensland, Australia. He was the previous head of the Department of Animal Production for six years. He is a consultant for the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture and the Saudi Food and Drug Administration. He is involved in many funded research projects related to camels and small ruminants, with a special focus on mineral metabolism. He is a member of the Saudi Society of Agricultural Sciences, the Australian Society of Animal Production, the New Zealand Society of Animal Production, and the American Society of Animal Science. In addition, he is a member of the editorial board of Tropical Animal Health and Production. His research topics mainly include lambs, sheep, goats, meat quality, microbiota, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and veterinary and animal science. He has published more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 20 (Scopus, April 2024).
