Prof. Claude Saegerman is the director of the Research Unit in Epidemiology and Risk Analysis Applied to Veterinary Sciences (UREAR). The objective of UREAR is to acquire and disseminate knowledge on the epidemiology and risk analysis of diseases with veterinary interest, including emerging, vector, exotic, and wildlife diseases, as well as zoonotic diseases, with the aim to improve veterinary public health throughout the world and to sustain livestock development to the benefit of humanity.
