Information

+1

Dr. Muhammad Amjad Nawaz is a senior researcher/Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Vegetable Breeding, Siberian Federal Scientific Center of Agrobiotechnology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Krasnoobsk, Russia. Dr. Nawaz is an emerging Plant Genomics researcher with an outstanding early research career. He maintains a large network of scientists extended to Austria, China, Greece, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UK, and the United States of America. He has been awarded several distinctions in his educational and research career. The Korean Society of Crop Science and Genetics Society of Korea has bestowed the award of best presenter upon him. His research interests include clarifying the role of genetically modified plants and chemicals in degrading environments, ecosystems, and biodiversity, as well as the development of biosensors for the onsite detection of GMOs. Furthermore, his research interests also lie in the field of legume (soybean) genetics and genomics to delineate genetic architecture, population structure, genetic diversity, origin, and secondary metabolite pathways. Dr. Nawaz’s extended research interests are systems characterization of cell wall biosynthesis and biodegradation pathways by employing in silico techniques.
