Dr. Kenneth Francis Rodrigues

Kenneth Francis Rodrigues is a molecular biologist who is currently involved in research in the areas of plant molecular biology, synthetic biology, and biorisk management at the Biotechnology Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, as an associate professor and researcher. He obtained his B.Sc. in chemistry and M.Sc. in marine biotechnology from Goa University, and earned a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from Universiti Malaysia Sabah and a postgraduate diploma in industrial and analytical chemistry with a specialization in therapeutic drug monitoring and clinical drug testing. He is a certified trainer in the area of biological risk management and a member of the Malaysian Biosafety and Biosecurity Association (MBBA). During his career, he has conducted training for employees of national agencies involved in public health, as well as university lecturers and students. He is a member of the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), which administers the implementation of the biosafety policy at the university.
