Jamila Marshall is a Ph.D. candidate in the Landers Lab at the University of Virginia. She completed BSc and MS degrees in Chemistry at the University of the West Indies (2010) and Clark Atlanta University (2015), respectively, and has worked as a laboratory technician in industry and academia. Previous research interests include the kinetic analysis of nanocellulosic materials and solid-phase microextraction/capillary GC analysis. Her current research focuses on the forensic analysis of biomarkers and rapid, real-time PCR using microfluidic technology. She is a member of the American Chemical Society and a student affiliate of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
