This is a video in the “Learn Sanskrit” series. It is focused on establishing a basic knowledge of Sanskrit grammar and sentence construction, as well as a knowledge of pronunciation and spelling (both in roman transliteration and in Devanagari).

In this Lesson 14-A video I will do four things. First I will introduce three new masculine nouns: mūṣikaḥ, kapotaḥ, and biḍālaḥ.
Then I will do a presentation of three new adverbs (indeclinables): adhunā, adya, and iha. And I will in this connection also give some instruction on how to spell (or design, or form) different letters and letter combinations in Devanagari, in particular the “dya” conjunct consonant and the initial “i” sound.
The third section deals with the plural form of masculine nouns ending in “a”.
The last main section of this video is devoted to giving some examples where I combine the nouns with pronouns and verbs, and where I also demonstrate a typical usage of the three new adverbs (indeclinables).
In this Lesson 13-A video I will do three things. First I will introduce four new masculine nouns: kṛṣṇaḥ, paṇḍitaḥ, brāhmaṇaḥ, and khagaḥ.
Then I will do a section on how to spell different letters and letter combinations in Devanagari, in particular the “ṇa” sound and the “ḍa” sound, as well as the letter combinations “ṇḍi” and “hma”.
The last main section of this video is devoted to introducing the dual forms of the verb asti (i.e., svaḥ, sthaḥ, staḥ), along with several example sentences to illustrate how nouns and pronouns can be used with these dual forms of the verb.
