These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of S.EE (“we”, “our”, “us”). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility
To use S.EE, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Create and maintain a valid account
- Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and rules

3. Text Sharing
S.EE allows you to share text content by generating a shareable URL. By default, Text Sharing links are public and may be accessed by anyone who has the URL.
You may configure optional access controls, including:
- Password protection
- Expiration conditions (after which the shared text is no longer accessible)
- One-time links
- View/visit limits
You are responsible for choosing appropriate settings before sharing. You must not share sensitive personal information (including government IDs, payment card data, bank account information, or medical information).
We may remove or disable access to shared text that violates these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
Retention. Text content is stored as long as you do not delete it and your subscription remains active. If you delete text, it becomes immediately inaccessible. If your subscription expires, we retain your text for 7 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
Ownership and license. You retain ownership of the text you upload or submit. You grant S.EE a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, and transmit your text solely to operate, secure, and provide the Text Sharing features.
4. File Sharing
S.EE allows you to upload and share files by generating a shareable URL. By default, File Sharing links are public unless you mark a file as “Private”.
Public files. Anyone with the URL can access a public file. Public files do not support password protection, expiration, one-time links, or view/visit limits. If you do not want broad access, do not upload or share a public file.
Private files. You may apply access controls such as password protection, expiration, one-time links, and view/visit limits.
Visibility switching. You may switch a file between Public and Private. To protect platform stability and prevent abuse, switching is limited to a maximum of 5 times per file per day (we may enforce this via rate limits or other controls).
Security scanning and moderation. Before a file is stored on our final storage servers, we may scan it using ClamAV and hash matching to detect malware or known-abusive content. For image files, we may use automated detection to identify NSFW content. We may block uploads, quarantine, restrict, or remove files based on these checks or to comply with law, DMCA notices, or other credible infringement or abuse reports.
Supported file types and safety controls.
- We accept only certain MIME types; the supported list may change over time.
- Executable files are not permitted. Compressed archives must not contain executable files.
- For the following file extensions, we may force the response

5. Username & Custom Slug Policy
We want users to enjoy full creative freedom when choosing usernames and custom slugs. To keep the platform fair and safe for everyone, usernames and slugs should not infringe on trademarks or intellectual property rights.
If S.EE receives a credible complaint that a username or slug overlaps with a registered brand, a public figure, or a protected commercial name, we may need to take action. In most cases, we will contact the user first and offer the opportunity to update the identifier with no disruption to their account.
In situations where a legal request requires immediate action, we may temporarily reclaim, disable, or rename the identifier to remain compliant and prevent potential harm.
Users are responsible for ensuring that the usernames and custom slugs they register do not violate trademarks or intellectual property rights. If you are unsure about a term you want to register, our support team is happy to help.
To maintain fair access to custom identifiers for all users, excessive bulk reservation of slugs or large numbers of inactive slugs that redirect to the same placeholder URL may be reviewed. S.EE may contact users to reorganize or release unused slugs if necessary, and we are happy to assist in proposing brand and campaign friendly alternatives when needed.
6. Custom Domains & Responsibility for Slugs
If a user links their own custom domain to S.EE and creates slugs under that domain, the user is solely responsible for all content, branding, and legal liability associated with those slugs.
S.EE does not review, monitor, or moderate custom domain slugs in advance, and we do not provide trademark verification or legal clearance services for custom domains.
If we receive a credible abuse or infringement complaint regarding a slug on a user-controlled domain, we may temporarily suspend redirects for the flagged slug to protect the platform and third parties. However, all legal responsibility for that slug — including disputes, trademark issues, and DMCA or copyright matters — remains with the domain owner.
By connecting a custom domain to S.EE, you agree that you are the publisher of all content accessible through that domain and its slugs.
7. Enforcement
We differentiate between incidental violations and systemic abuse:

Banned accounts are not eligible for refunds.
8. Payments & Refunds
- 7-day unconditional refunds are supported, except when the user violates these Terms.
- Lifetime plan purchases are non-refundable.
- Bank transfer payments are non-refundable.
- Invoices and receipts may be downloaded from Stripe via the Billing & Usage page.
Lifetime plan and business bank transfer users may request invoices via email. - All prices include tax.
9. Lifetime Plan Definition
The Lifetime plan applies for the full lifecycle of the S.EE service and guarantees a minimum of 10 years of continued service availability from the purchase date.
If the service is ever discontinued, Lifetime users will receive prorated compensation based on the remaining time within the 10-year minimum guarantee.
10. API Usage
API limits differ by subscription tier. Automated and bulk link creation is permitted only within the documented limits of each plan.
Exceeding rate limits, circumventing API restrictions, or degrading platform performance may result in temporary or permanent suspension.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate service access at any time to:
- Protect system security and stability
- Comply with law enforcement or regulatory requests
- Address abuse or violation of these Terms
Users may delete their accounts at any time.
12. Liability
S.EE is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee:
- Zero downtime
- Future feature compatibility
- Accessibility of links across third-party platforms
Users are solely responsible for the safety and legality of the content they link to.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.
Any dispute or proceeding shall be exclusively resolved in the courts of Delaware, United States.
