Star ceramic

Perfect for the winter season! This is ceramic luminary was handmade on a pottery wheel. It features hand carved stars that have been glazed in gold. The base has a textured finish that is reminiscent of a snow covered ground. Each piece I make is unique and may have slight "imperfections" that really give it its own character. Consumerism nowadays means that we have stopped having a relationship with objects we own. Two generations ago, our grandparents used to cherish the fine china plates and crystal wine glasses, they had cupboards made just for them. Today it seems, the motto goes more like "I wan't to pay as little as possible for a modern and hip design object".
