Today kicks off Mental Health Awareness Week here at Penn State. Throughout the week several student associations will be hosting activities at the HUB including relaxation rooms, body image workshops, and even a TED talk by Kevin Breel. The purpose of this week is to create a dialog about mental health and to create an awareness here on campus.

Activities have the power to engage mental health clients in groups where they learn knowledge and skills to cope with the challenges they face. Use these activities to make your groups fun.

We're celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month with a "spirit week" next week! We're doing themed days with special morning announcements at our morning assembly (with some guest parents in the mental health field!) and recess activities for each themed day.
