Harsh light! “Hyper” fashion portraits📸✨ 90s music magazines have this particular “bite” I love. My go-to is a strong key light on the face, with a big black panel (“negative fill”) on the other side to suck up light and create the harsh shadows (anime vibe). I tend to photograph from way up high (wide angle lens), crank EVERYTHING in post, dial back a few to the sweet spot, then tweak the white balance like I’m coloring.
