This is an awesome Halloween writing project that's perfect for upper elementary. It's sure to engage your students' creativity.

This week, 2nd grade started their Fall reflection paintings. These were created in just a few steps. This project was inspired by, Lauralee Chambers . You can check her work out on Instagram, if you click on her name. Here's how we created ours. First draw out "Y" trees on a folded piece of 90lb paper, with a brown oil pastel. 4th grade students drew a background separated into five sections with images and words describing the Fall season. Students then outlined their drawings and used watercolors to paint in each section. Students also drew and painted a harvest pumpkin to complete their project.
