All about the Australorp Chicken Breed

Black Australorp chickens are beautiful birds that have calm, gentle demeanors, are great layers, make excellent pets, and will make your barnyard welcoming.

I've found that the Black Australorps I hatch and raise (a heritage strain) typically start to lay their first eggs at around 6-7 months of age.
