🌟 This idea was born from a challenge: our chickens love to scratch, turning any confined area into a dirt patch over time. 🐔💨 That’s why I created a movable ‘Chunnel’ (chicken tunnel) that allows them to explore without destroying the grass! 🌱 Our chickens are thriving, and so many of you have asked how to make one. The end product is rich compost that we can then use for the garden and as a bonus, this method doesn’t smell!! 2- large dust bath Combination of sand, top soil, wood ash from our wood burning stove and fire pit, and diatomaceous earth. Chickens naturally will find dirt and dust to fluff around and kick up around their feathers and body to control parasites and it keeps feathers from being too oily. 3. auto feeder We wanted a super low maintenance chicken coop and run so feeding the chickens every morning got old really quick. I’ve done it in a laundry room and kitchen, too! Fodder is created through the act of soaking & sprouting grain and then letting it mature a few more days until it has grown fresh greens on top. Depending on your type of livestock, you may want to let it go a little longer or shorter. Chickens at at risk of crop impac
