Every time I get attached to a craft room decorating idea, an even better one comes along!! … ah well, looks like I’ll have to update it again … such a chore!
This one from housetohome.co.uk is perfect – it even has a handy ribbon shelf! Here’s how to get the look:
1) Set aside an organised area where you can work on your hobbies or home projects
2) Team trestle table legs with a separate worktop to create a desk that fits your space
3) Invest in clever storage units, floating shelves and oversized baskets to store material, rolls of fabric and all your equipment
4) Create a mood board where you can pin up your favourite fabrics, magazine cuttings and fabric samples

How cool is this quirky little kitchen from freshhome.com? It actually FOLDS AWAY! Ideal if you’re short on space, and even better if you want to hide away all the washing up.
It was made by LOGOS as part of their Cooking and Living series. The challenge was to create a living area for a young lady who wanted a spacious apartment. I wonder if they’d do the same for me??

It could easily be mistaken for a wardrobe…

Who lives in a bachelor pad like this? Actually, a seemingly cute couple, but it had you fooled didn’t it? I love the shots of zesty lemon, the elaborate dining room which boasts stunning views over London and the sleek bathroom.
It even overlooks Lord’s Cricket Ground – perfect for ‘accidentally’ ogling all those sportsman!
Take a house tour of this swanky London penthouse at homeandgardens.com.

A sophisticated monochrome scheme is lifted right out of the ordinary with vibrant shots of yellow.

Now that’s a four poster bed (… underneath all those pillows and florals)! I’m sure it would scare the living daylights out of most men, but I’m oddly intrigued about how comfy it is – and so jealous that the editor of Country Homes & Interiors got to find out!
Far too grand for me (not that it would fit in my house anyway) but I’d certainly be impressed to see one … in a CASTLE!

room envy - snuggle up in hundreds of pillows!

There comes a time when a floor-to-ceiling CDs just don’t cut it. The other day I found myself nervously placing a new edition on to the top, holding my breath for fear that the whole thing would suddenly buckle!
So I think it’s time that I start looking for smarter CD storage solutions than the old ‘place and hope’ trick. Fortunately, I stumbled across these useful ideas on housetohome.co.uk. Phew!

roomenvy - alcove storage
We all know I love wall stencils – so this little cubby below (complete with gorgeous chandelier) is my kinda place!

Give your home the five star hotel treatment without having to pack your bags (or worse, unpack!) and without even a HINT of travel delays!
I was invited to the beautiful Montagu Place hotel in London (surrounded by flashy men in suits in nice cars … not that I noticed of course!) for a spot of breakfast hotel-style decorating chitter chatter with Occa-Home‘s style guru, Kate Mooney.
Here she spills the beans on what it takes to get the five star treatment in your bedroom and bathroom.
Check out the footage!
It would be unfair to leave the bathroom out ….
