Red Carpet Styling Insp

Hello, stylists! Thank you for your help in getting me glammed for the opening night red carpet of STEW at the Pasadena Playhouse! My goal for my red carpet look is to bring inspiration from my role in the show to my styling. My character in the show is a 12-year-old Black American girl in the early 2000’s. I’m very much NOT 12, but I’d like to bring a sense of her girly youthfulness to my dress with, for example, an A-Line Silhouette, puff sleeves, bow/ribbon details, a sweetheart neckline, etc. I’m looking to have fun with accessories and sparkly heels, too! As for hair, I’d love to bring in my character’s Black girl youth via colorful rubber band styling, Afro puffs, and/or butterfly clips. In makeup, I’d love a simple look that accentuates the roundness of my face and the apples of my cheeks, with a pop of color on my eyes. Thank you, and see you soon!
