Nishen's Plascon Room Makeover

My room lacks natural light as it is north facing and our house is south facing, the whole room is a medium dark blue colour that makes the room look smaller and darker... I would change it to a feature wall with a dark bluish grey, maybe wall paper and paint the rest of the room a bring colour white, grey white as I have dark wooden shutters and furniture, as it will showcase the furniture more and make the space look bigger and bring in more natural light, also bring in a fancy modern light fitting...
