Exhibition display design

Alex Wilkie Nature Reserve is a beautiful area of remnant bushland in the City of Greater Dandenong. Working with Council’s Conservation Engagement team, we designed and delivered an interpretive display within the Visitor Centre. The display is firmly focussed on education, using interactive elements, illustration and photography to share local biodiversity stories with a wide audience.

In the post-war era of urban reconstruction, the concrete panel represented optimism: a utopian symbol of hope for a better world. Today, concrete is more commonly associated with the grey monotony of the neglected cityscape, and is often dismissed as ugly and dystopian.This exhibition explored the changing fortunes of concrete building systems.
