We can not stress this enough, when you have poor mobility of the big toe and/or pain, it will alter how you walk affecting everything that lies above it. 

Hear a couple compensations you may see when someone’s big toe hurts: 

	1.	They will spin around it and attempt to push off the inside of the big toe.  You may see things like a pinch callous on the inside of the big toe.  It is also not uncommon for patients to report with pain along the lesser toes (2-5), ie, neuromas etc, as the they avoid going through the big toe and load the outside of the foot.

	2.	They will simply avoid the big toe all together, and lift their leg up to swing it through.  They will therefore not gain Big Toe Pain, Stomach Fat, Say Anything, When Someone, Talk About, It Hurts, Instagram

Use any small ball and an elastic band from your next broccoli 🥦 or get fancy with the @meltmethod hand & foot kit that I’m using. Try up to 3x 10 slow lifts daily.

Once you’ve nailed these, see if you can do the lifts without the band and the ball BUT without your big toes drifting in! This is hard so be patient & consistent.
