Community Food Drive

The Redwood Empire Food Bank and A Simple Gesture have joined forces to make giving easy and impactful. By setting aside a few groceries from your pantry—or picking up a few extra items while you shop—you’ll help provide healthy food for families across Sonoma County.

Give from your doorstep and help nourish our community.

Donate in three simple steps:

1. Register to Donate
Click Register at the top, enter your zip code then click “Find Chapter”.  If needed select the chapter nearest to you to continue the registration process.

2. Prepare for your Pick-Up Date
Your “Events” page shows the next upcoming pick-up day in your area. You’ll receive a reminder email before pick-up day.

3. Leave Your Donation Out
On pick-up day, place your tote bag or any bag or box with
shelf-stable pantry items on your doorstep. A volunteer driver will collect it and leave a reusable bag in return.

*Please use any bag or box for your first time. Volunteers will drop off the official tote when they come to pick up your first donation.

A Simple Gesture will send a reminder as the date approaches. Together, we can turn simple gestures into lasting impact.

Drive For Good
When you register as a food donor, you’ll also be invited to become a volunteer driver. Drivers help pick-up doorstep donations and deliver them to the food bank, ensuring every bag makes it where it’s needed most.

It’s a simple way to make a big difference—right in your neighborhood.
