Hey, I'm Reeby! I'm a thirtysomething from Texas, currently living in Virginia. I'm queer and agender (ey/em/eir or whatever pronouns you like, I'm not picky!). I'm a vegan, a witch, and lean pretty politically left.

I've been in fandom for close to 20 years now, primarily writing fic and making icons, occasionally making fanmixes and crafting, previously modding some exchanges and a bang, and being a tag wrangler on AO3 since 2017. Longtime fandoms include Teen Wolf, Stranger Things, Marvel, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Star Trek, but I'm very multifandom and tend to fandom hop frequently. This blog is probably 75% fandom and 25% personal, and all of the personal posts are friends locked. I usually check my reading list a few times a week, and I try to comment on recent friends' posts regularly. I generally only friend people through friending memes or if we know each other from other platforms, but I'm happy to make new friends in other ways too! I don't automatically friend back though, so please comment here if you'd like me to do so and we haven't already chatted elsewhere :)

Challenge #6: Top 10 Challenge
The category(ies) you choose are up to you. You can give top 10 Fics you read last year, the top 10 songs to create to, the to 10 guest stars on your favorite show, top 10 characters in your favorite book series, top 10... well, you get the idea.

When I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to do something related to Thai dramas, because of course what else do I think of these days lol I tried a top 10 series list, but failed rather quickly. Who knew it would be so hard to narrow down to 10! And I didn't quite have enough to just include ones from any single year. I thought of actors or CPs (character partners/pairings, aka actors who work as a set romantic pairing in various series) as well, but that seemed a bit meh and also potentially hard to narrow down.

So I decided to go slightly further afield to the related topic of Thai music. Related because almost everyone I listen to is also an actor, which is how I heard about them in the first place. Songs seemed a bit overwhelming once again, but I figured out how to narrow it down!

Reading

I'm having a hard time figuring out what book I want to read next, so of course that means I haven't read anything but fic this past week. In that, I have read a ton of JunDylan, because rewatching ThamePo really sparked something for me lol Currently I'm reading lightning (never) strikes twice by praystation , which I'm really enjoying :)

Watching

The roommate and I finished Ossan's Love. It was very goofy and I kind of hated the main character (soooo immature and stupid in frustrating ways), but overall a pretty good show.
The roommate and I started watching Head 2 Head. I was really excited for another SeaKeen show, and they have definitely not let me down so far! It's a very interesting premise that reminds me of a couple other shows we've watched, so I'm interested to see how it turns out.
The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Goddess Bless You From Death. Shit's finally going down! Very exciting and gross and I'm loving it.
The roommate, best friend, and I watched the last episode of Me and Thee. What a fucking good show <3 I am kind of devastated it's over, but they have announced a special episode (or episodes? unclear), so hopefully sometime this year we'll get that.

The roommate, best friend, and I finished 4 Minutes. That uhhh sure was a show. Very odd and I do not see how they're doing a sequel from here, but I did really enjoy JesBible.
The roommate, best friend, and I started watching Kidnap. A rewatch for the roommate and I and I'm loving it! This was one that really grew on me more afterwards, so it's very fun to see it again.

Had to return Pimsleur's Thai to the library (already back on hold), so nothing really this week.

One of my favorite challenges! Which doesn't mean it's not somewhat difficult, but I do like thinking about what kinds of things I really want to ask for and also looking at other people's lists.

More fanworks for Thundercloud Rainstorm. I watched this a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it, but I've been sad to see there are less than 10 fics! I'd love to see more fics, but also art and edits and meta and anything else.

Tarot, oracle, playing card, rune, or other magical reading. I do tarot readings for myself occasionally, but I rarely have the chance to have a reading done by someone else! If you do readings that are a little less than standard, whether that's in medium or interpretation or whatever, I'd especially love one.

Artwork of my D&D characters. I play in a few different campaigns at the moment, and I'd love to have artwork of my characters! Under the cut I have descriptions and reference pictures.

Reading

I finished Clariel by Garth Nix. It was fine, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped. I was much more interested in the potential story a after the story than the one that was, you know, in the actual book. Oh well.
Ficwise, I've been reading a lot of NutHong and JunDylan fics, with a sprinkling of other things including more Yuletide fics.

Watching

The roommate and I finished Cherry Magic. It was great! Very sweet and I enjoyed TayNew and JuniorMark a lot. I did wish there was a bit more of the side pairing's relationship, but what we did get was good.
The roommate and I started watching Ossan's Love. Even sillier than I expected, especially Earth's character! I was getting a bit of second hand embarrassment tbh, but I'll push through and hope that passes.
The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Goddess Bless You From Death. I feel a little like we're getting edged for shit really going down, but it's still great. I also was proved right for a theory I voiced in like the second episode, so very happy about that lol

The roommate, best friend, and I started watching 4 Minutes. I'm not sure what I expected from this series, but it's definitely a lot darker than I'd assumed it'd be. In some ways similar vibes to Dead Friend Forever, which I don't love, but I am liking it more than that so far. The allure of Bible is at least strong enough to get me through, especially since it's a shorter series.
The roommate and I went to see Labyrinth in theaters for the 40th anniversary. It was so nice seeing it on the big screen for the first time! Love this movie.

Listening

T-pop this week has been a lot of Perses after seeing them on Idol Energy. They've got a different vibe than what I'm used to, but I'm enjoying them.
Caught up on some more Ouija Broads episodes.

Writing

I wrote a fic for a Just the Tip flash exchange.
I started writing an OhmLeng fic after waking up yesterday being suddenly very sad about them lol

Learning

New category! Because I am trying to do more active learning of things this year and maybe this will be good incentive to keep that up.
Did some more of Pimsleur's Thai. Still need to do more to see if I like it and it's working, but the second lesson was definitely easier than the first. To be fair, it's covered several words/phrases I already know, so we'll see if that continues as it goes on.

When I saw this challenge, I knew immediately what I wanted to do for it. I've gotten really into Thai BL dramas the past six months, and have started following a ton of the actors on instagram. And also following their pets as well! So here's some of those :)

Hello! I'm Reeby. I've been in fandom for close to 20 years in a variety of fandoms doing a variety of different things. I've got a sticky post with a little more about me and my blog here.

Fandom Snowflake Challenge is one of my favorite parts of the year because it feels like such a celebration of fans and fandom. I'm getting into it a little late this year, but that's fine! There's plenty of time, and the important part is that I'm enjoying myself. For what I want to get out of the challenge... I really just want to get back into feeling like an active part of fandom, and I think this is a great way to do that. I want to feel less like a lurker. I want to interact with other fans. I want to post more in general, but especially here on DW.

So here I am! Looking forward to it :)

Reading

Read a bit more of Clariel by Garth Nix. I was having a bit of a hard time getting into it, but I think I'm mostly past that now.
I started reading High Stakes and Bloody Business, an anthology of vampire whump stories the roommate was published in last year. I'd already read her story of course, but I'm enjoying the others as well!
I started reading Dominicana by Angie Cruz, the current read for my work book club. I am uhhh not enjoying it. It's not a genre I particularly like anyway, but the family dynamics and domestic violence is especially not. Our meeting got postponed two weeks and I'm not sure if I'll try to finish or just DNF bc I'm not even halfway yet.
Firmly back into reading fic, yay! I got some excellent gifts for Yuletide and have been reading my way through the rest of the collection (rec list later!). I've also been reading a lot of JunDylan from ThamePo and NutHong, and having a good time :D Currently I'm reading a NutHong college AU series called And If They Talk... by firstknpn .

Watching

The roommate and I finished Project Alpha. So much fun! I loved seeing the boys getting more comfortable with each other. And of course the performances were great.
The roommate and I watched Alpha Roommates, a follow up for Project Alpha about the winners going on a bonding trip before debuting as a band. So freaking cute!
The roommate and I finished Idol Energy. Very fun, and I enjoyed seeing Perses since I didn't know any of them before.
The roommate ad i started watching Cherry Magic. I've read most of the manga and watched the Japanese drama when it first aired, so I was really excited for this. And I have not been disappointed! So cute and sweet and funny.

I watched Thundercloud Rainstorm. A Korean BL this time! I'd been seeing a lot of it on tumblr that looked intriguing (D/S, cousin incest... the good stuff lol), and I did enjoy it quite a lot.
I rewatched The Muppet Christmas Carol while I was home for Christmas. A very good movie, of course.
We also watched Five Golden Rings, a Hallmark Mysteries Christmas movie. I was mostly there for Holland Roden, but it was a pretty good movie.
I watched Nomura's Giant Swarm, a documentary about Giant Nomura Jellyfish taking over the waters around Japan and causing a lot of problems for the fishing industry there. Very interesting!
The roommate and I went to see Anaconda in theaters. It was pretty much just as expected, which is to say I had a great time :)

As per usual, I've listened to a lot of t-pop, LYKN in particular.
Caught up on some more Ouija Broads episodes. I'm really glad they're back posting even if there's a lot of time between episodes!
Also started catching up on some Happier with Gretchen Rubin episodes. I really enjoy their stuff around New Year's, with goals and words of the year and all that.
Idk if this really counts in this category, but I started listening to Pimsleur's Thai, which is an audio language learning system. This one's for Thai, obviously lol Because I am determined to learn! I did the first lesson and it was pretty hard, so we'll see how it goes.

Writing

I started writing one of my overdue holiday ficlets. It's for a fandom I don't know so uhhh it's taking some time.

I read more of Clariel by Garth Nix. It's not grabbing me as much as the others, but it's still pretty good. I do think the setting is interesting, being so far in the past compared to the previous books.
I read some fic this week finally! A lovely We Are Phum/Peem fic I was gifted for ficinabox , and I also reread several KinnPorsche Arm/Tae fics.

Watching

The roommate and I finished Our Skyy 2. The crossover between Bad Buddy and A Tale of Thousand Stars was very interesting. Primarily it made me sad about Ohm and Earth now not playing brothers in Only Friends: Dream On, because they had a really good dynamic.
The roommate and I started watching Project Alpha. I'm enjoying it a lot! We of course know what the outcome will be since it's the show where LYKN was formed, but it's surprisingly stressful even so lol I am having a lot of fun seeing how the boys we already knew (LYKN, but also 3/4 of CLO'VER) are interacting with each other early in their relationships. Particularly Nut and Hong, since I am a shipper through and through...
The roommate and I watched the first two episodes of Idol Energy. I wasn't sure what to expect, being a reality competition in conjunction with a Thailand energy group, but it's been fun! I'm always happy to see both the JASP.ER and LYKN boys, and I'm looking forward to meeting the PERSES boys whenever they're finally on an episode.
The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Goddess Bless You From Death. Really enjoying Thup/Singha's developing relationship. And Darin/Sey's! They're also starting to make me slightly sympathetic toward King, which I'm not sure I'm happy about lol
The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Me and Thee. What else is there to say than that it's so, so good?? I'm loving William as Rome and his longing not-a-relationship with Mok.
The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episode of Burnout Syndrome. The relationship dynamics in this show are bonkers, and I'm loving that lol Especially loving Dew, who I hadn't seen before, but it's making me more excited for his 2026 show too.

Writing

I wrote another holiday card ficlet, leaving only two more until I'm finished! Gonna try to get those finished this week so I can get all the cards sent before Christmas.

Reading

I finished Across the Wall by Garth Nix. Lightning Bringer and Hope Chest are probably my favorite of his short stories (I've read them a few times, including in a couple other collections), but I also really like Hansel's Eyes and From the Lighthouse.
I started reading Clariel by Garth Nix (The Old Kingdom #4). We're to the first in the series I haven't read before!
Still no fic reading :( There will be some later today though! Because I need to read my ficinabox gift, which looks amazing.

Watching

The roommate and I watched some more of Our Skyy 2. The Vice Versa part was great because while I'd seen spoilers, it didnt' go at all like I'd thought lol The My School President part was super cute as well.

Also watched so much youtube this week... I'd intended to watch some movies on my birthday, but apparently all I wanted to watch was LYKN behind the scenes and dance practices, NutHong tiktoks, and OhmLeng compilations (that made me very sad for what could have been).

Lots of new t-pop songs out recently!
- JASP.ER's new single Touch. It's a bit more chill than their other songs, but I'm enjoying it.
- CLO'VER's first single Next to You. It's cute! Looking forward to more of them, especially since I've now seen shows with all four members.
- DEXX's new single Skinship. It's way more cute than the title suggests, and I loved the end of the MV lol
I started catching up on some Ouija Broads podcast episodes. It's been so long since I listened to a podcast...

Writing

I finished my yuletide assignment already?? I'll reread it next week once I've had some time away, but I think it's not bad too.
Wrote several more holiday card ficlets. Feeling shockingly ahead, which I need to not let get to me, because then I'll fall behind again lol

It's Spotify Wrapped time of year! I always think it's fun, so I thought I'd share mine here if anyone's interested in seeing the extent to which t-pop has overtaken my listening in the past six months :)

But uh speaking of Spotify, I have been hearing some not great things about it lately (ICE ads, donations to Trump, AI "artists", etc.). Not that I actually really like it anyway, it's just convenient. So I'm thinking of switching, I'm just not sure what site/app is better. Anyone have recs?

Reading

I finished Abhorsen by Garth Nix. I was definitely getting a bit teary eyed near the end, it's so good!
I started reading Across the Wall: A Tale of the Abhorsen and Other Stories by Garth Nix (The Old Kingdom #3.5). I've read Nick's story and two others, but my faves from this collection are yet to come.
Still no fic reading :(

Watching

The roommate and I finished Cooking Crush. Cute show! I was not super into OffGun, but enough to happily watch more of them. Aungpao was the best part tbh.
The roommate and I watched Only Friends. What a wild, messy group of people lol Less inter-group making out than I expected, but I didn't mind much. Mond as a bad guy once again killing it.
The roommate and I watched Only Boo! What a cute show :D I really liked SeaKeen and am super looking forward to more shows with them. Also loved the combo of high school drama and idol drama.
The roommate and I started watching Our Skyy 2. It's been fun going back to Never Let Me Go, and I'm looking forward to the other shows as well.
The roommate, best friend, and I finished That Summer. So good! I expected nothing less from Jojo, of course, but still. Loved it.

The roommate and I watched Last Twilight. Last of the JimmySeas to catch up on! Very good and a bit less angsty than I expected, but still some very emotional parts.

I DNF'd No Body No Crime by Tess Sharpe. I just couldn't bring myself to care about the characters or their relationship and I was not digging the back and forth timeline.
I started reading The Language of Night: Essays on Writing, Science Fiction, and Fantasy by Ursula K. Le Guin. I thought this would be really interesting, but I'm not really vibing with Le Guin's takes on writing and genre, so I think it's another DNF.
I finished Lirael by Garth Nix! So funny that nothing really resolves at all, but it's still my favorite in the series.
Ficwise, I have... not really read anything much tbh. Nothing's sounded very appealing lately, so I've just been clearing out things I'll never actually read from my to be read list.

Watching

The roommate and I finished Bad Buddy. I liked it a lot! The amount of scent kink was surprising but fun, and I loved seeing Jimmy. It was a little sad going into it knowing OhmNanon is no more because I did enjoy them together.
The roommate and I watched Bites of Promise. Which is not a real show, just a webseries that's an ad for Korean fried chicken, but it did have GeminiFourth so.
The roommate and I watched Enchante. What a wild show, at least in the last two episodes lol Otherwise my favorite version of ForceBook though. Force getting to be silly was great. Also loved Gawin and pre-AouBoom AouBoom.
The roommate and I watched ThamePo Heart That Skips a Beat. I really wanted to see more of the boys from LYKN, and this so did not disappoint! So cute and fun! Loved the WilliamEst of it (though I will certainly argue for EstWilliam...), but Nut is the one who really stole my heart lol
The roommate and I watched Kidnap. Another show that was sad going in knowing OhmLeng is no more, and honestly maybe even sadder because I liked Leng with Ohm even more than Nanon with him. (And finding out bits about why both the breakups... oof.) This was much lighter fare than I was expecting from the premise, but I liked it a lot.
The roommate and I watched Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist. Incredibly silly show, but fun, no matter what the haters say. I love Mark, even if I'm not 100% sold on MarkOhm yet. The less than five minutes of JimmySea might have been the best part though lol
The roommate, best friend, and I finished Revamp the Undead Story. I know a lot of people were disappointed by the ending, but I thought it was fine. It was a good show overall! Plus surprise werewolf!Junior with Mark at the end?? That makes up for anything for me lmao Fingers so crossed for a season 2.
The roommate, best friend, and I finished Khemjira. Very spooky and fun show! I loved FirstOne as Jet so much, what a cutie. Super excited for the special next year.
The roommate, best friend, and I started watching Goddess Bless You From Death. There's only two episodes out so far, but it's been good. Very Hannibal vibes, plus the actual supernatural shit, so I'm having fun.

The roommate, best friend, and I watched the latest episodes of That Summer. It continues to be great. I have way more Lava feels than I was expecting lol Only two episodes to go, and it looks like shit's really going to be going down!
The roommate and I went to see Frankenstein in theaters. Pretty good. Beautiful, of course, considering del Toro's aesthetic. He did change quite a few things, but I felt like it still felt closer to the book than a lot of other adaptations.
The roommate and I have watched like... maybe an episode and a half collectively of AEW in the past month. It's just not doing it for us right now :/

I continue to listen to pretty much exclusively t-pop. Starting to branch out into some of the girl groups as well as the boy groups! Mirror Mirror by VIIS has been stuck in my head a lot lately.

Writing

I got my seasonsofdrabbles assignment done pretty early this round, feeling good about that.
I started on my omegaverseexchange assignment and it's going pretty well. I've got a couple more days until it's due, so I just need to buckle down and get through the sex scene.

Wrote a ficlet for Fic or Treat!
I've gotten a pretty good start on my yuletide assignment. It's a fandom I don't think I've written for, so I was struggling with it at first, but I think it's going well now.
