Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Genuine Lapis Lazuli Marcasite Daisy Chain Choker Drop Pendant Necklace From Germany

This is an absolutely spectacular Art Deco sterling silver genuine lapis lazuli marcasite daisy chain choker drop pendant necklace from Germany. The silver necklace has an open silver link chain at each end and a decorative nine link marcasite daisy flower chain. In the center is a bail from which a three dimensional panel is suspended that is covered in marcasites, and has a rectangular piece of deep blue lapis. Attached to that is a large sterling pendant with an elongated hexagonal piece of the same dark blue lapis. The prong set lapis has beveled edges and is polished to a high sheen.The sterling setting that is covered in marcasites and has a complex geometric line design. The quality of the lapis is exceptional. The color and matrix is unlike anything that is mined today. The necklace measures 17 1/4 inches long. The dangling pendant is 3 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick. It weighs 24.8 grams. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition. The silver has the dark rich patina that comes with age, and has more depth than shows in the photos. All the marcasites are intact and there are no chips on the lapis. The back of the pendant is signed Germany Sterling. All items are carefully wrapped, placed in a new gift box and tied with curling ribbon. This item will be shipped via USPS first class mail.
