The City of Atlanta, Georgia, faced combined sewer overflow (CSO) events and flooding in the Clear Creek Basin along the then-proposed Atlanta BeltLine as a result of rapid development and lack of open space to manage stormwater. Historic Fourth Ward Park, which was previously a trash-strewn brownfield, was conceived as an alternative to a multi-million-dollar underground storage tunnel proposed under a consent decree from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Our design intervention comes from the compression of time and spatial transactions outside the train and imposes the idea of ‘vector’ into a cargo dimension. The new lateral experience for the visitors becomes a remembrance to the historic railway, establishing a new relationship between the Ornano station and the landscape along the rail. #Urbandesigncompetition #Conceptarchitecturecompetition

Within the historical context, the City of Istanbul has always been in an strong social and spatial relations with water that reflects itself in a 'flow'. Having objective to recode the concept of flow, 'Cape in Flow' comes up with new design strategies both for micro and macro scales to rediscover the potentials of the site as an active urban entity.
