Take saline solution droppers to clean your eyes and scarfs or something of the sort to protect yourself. Avoid sending the grenades back with your hands and feet, a lot of people have lost limbs here because of that. Use an object to push them if need be.

Sorry I don’t have a reliable source on that, it might be wrong. I just read it on the Minnesota subreddit, someone who was explaining who he was. They said that he served in the air force, and then worked as a nurse for veterans.
I’m not in the US, that’s how we say “going to another country to perform military missions” in my country.
And as much as I have a general dislike for the US foreign policy they did good things too. I’ve read that he worked in the air force so he could have participated in preventing ISIS from killing more innocents and enslaving ethnic minorities by being on missions targeting their weapons depots a few years ago for example.
I’ve read that Alex was a veteran. So he probably participated in overseas operations. He survived abroad against whoever he fought for his country, only to be executed in said country, in his own town, by what is probably a frustrated basement dweller without any more accomplishment in his life than insulting kids on CoD and gooning ten times a day.
In the original meaning of the word, conservatives are just people that want to keep the current order. They are not conservatives, they are reactionaries, the authoritarian flavor. Democrats are more conservatives than them actually.

I’ve heard one analyst say that the most probable end of all this is just a very bad “deal” for Danemark. Trump and his goons throw the worst things around so people panic and want to negociate, and in the end they accept way worse than they were willing to accept in the first place, while feeling relieved that things didn’t end up worse. It’s what he’s done with Ukraine already.
No idea if this will be true in the end or if he’s really in to apply Project 2025 to the letter, but it’s good that NATO members fight back at least.
Non-violent action works if big enough because people will actually start to act if they see that enough other people are fed up and willing to move their asses.
One march every month isn’t sufficient though, they have to ramp up the movement, they have to claim public spaces and make themselves unavoidable.
Even if you count on violence to work. Apart from two people with nothing to lose, noone will move their asses to enact said violence if they feel alone. Knowing that 50 millions others are mobilized and not letting go behind them, on the other hand…
At the very least, the pressure of seeing that the people, multiple dozens of millions of them, are so against tyranny that they are in the streets every week or every evening.
This will make cowards and wannabe turncoats stop sucking the dictator’s dick and start acting against him because they feel legitimate to do so and aren’t afraid to be alone against tyranny anymore.
If noone ever moves, noone will ever move. If you show your discontent only by being sarcastic on the internet and waiting for the democrats of all people to act, they know nobody will oppose them.
And the movement actually realizing, growing and staying will feed the movement itself and has a chance to make the protests evolve into something more too.
Good! Keep them going, come back every week, build momentum. This is the first step, don’t stop now. Motivate people by showing that you are here and you won’t let them get away with it. Gather into specific spots like you did for Occupy, block roads, unionize and organize yourselves.
It’s a real shame for unions then… but also, it means that they exist still. If you have nothing in your state you can still contact one in another state. They’ll have contacts of people in your area, or at least they can help you set something up.
And being in a union doesn’t mean that you have to actually show it and fight inside your own company (at least I hope it’s not like that in the US). You can help the union and participate in other actions not targeted at your company and noone will be the wiser about it.
And if by some weird bureaucratic US-only reason you have to disclose it, you can still contact them, offer support and participate in stuff without officially joining anything.

It doesn’t even mean that you have to join dangerous action (you define what’s dangerous for you), but even just signalling to the people that will act that they are not alone by being one more person in the group is already a boost for everyone, especially if you help them in some ways.
Then, as much as you can, participate in the group’s actions, and evangelize the group’s existence around you.
What if there’s no action? Try to push for it in the meet-ups. Start with something easy. Tracts distribution, door-to-door to offer help and support around your neighborhood and make the group known, sentry in your communities to signal ICE/dangerous individuals raids and presence, offer to be a contact or to help people that might be targeted next, create workshops to rewrite the constitution in a way that would make it better for everyone, organize debates where people of different opinions actually listen to each others… The group needs to build confidence by actively doing something useful together. And it can stop here if people in the group have cold feet for more - it’s already great. Once the group is created and solid, it will be able to change direction if needed by the political climate.
Next steps if people are motivated: actual political activism. Protests, sit-ins, happenings, guerrilla urbanism, petitions, blocking highways, or going to talk to people in power… The research you’ve done in the first steps should give you ideas of what you can do, and how to do it. Advice from a french protester: keep things joyful. Our protests are always a happy moment (up until the cops come and hit us), we’re singing, we’re dancing, we’re having fun. It shouldn’t be a chore to be there, and if possible the action should make people want to join you. It helps grow the movement, it helps grow the links between people, it gives a good image of the movement.

I guess you’re not part of a minority? Do you realize he’s already arresting, detaining, deporting and killing people right?

At which step do you say stop? Or will you keep saying “no let him put trans people into mental wards, all he wants is us to fight back!”? And when finally they come for you, will you still be passive?
